Australia Trade Tasting (London): New-to-Market Support

ABOUT: Running for more than 30 years, the Australia Trade Tasting in London (a Wine Australia event) is the largest tasting of Australian wine in Europe with more than 1,000 wines and 200 wineries, attracting over 500 trade visitors. Attendees comprise a cross section of UK trade, as well as visiting trade from across Europe including Ireland, Germany, France, Poland, The Netherlands and the Nordics.

The event is a platform for wineries both in market and those seeking distribution to meet retail buyers, independent specialists, the on-trade and sommeliers, and work on leads and generate listings.

WA WINES TO THE WORLD will provide a 25% subsidy on winery tables for new-to-market exporters seeking distribution - please ensure that someone from the winery can travel over to staff your table.

If your winery is seeking distribution in the UK but you are unable to attend the event, you have the opportunity to showcase two wines in the new-to-market free-pour area which gives importer/retailer buyers the chance to taste your wines. WA WINES TO THE WORLD will provide a 50% subsidy to wineries opting to participate in this format.

OBJECTIVE: Provide support for new-to-market exporters to assist them in finding suitable distribution in the UK.

AUDIENCE: Buyers, importers, media, educators and WSET/IMW students - mainly from the UK, but also from across Europe.

ELIGIBILITY: WA wineries seeking distribution - includes new-to-market entrants, as well as those re-entering the market.

COST TO PARTICIPATE (LONDON):

  • FULL TABLE: AUD $2,200 ex GST per table (14 SKUs) - less $550 subsidy

  • HALF TABLE: AUD $1,100 ex GST per half table (7 SKUs) - less $275 subsidy

  • NTM FREE-POUR AREA: AUD $100 ex GST per SKU (max. 2 SKUs/brand) - less $50 subsidy per SKU
