ProWein 2024 (Germany)

ABOUT: ProWein is the world’s biggest trade fair for the wine and spirits industry, held annually in Düsseldorf in Germany. The fair attracts visitors from across the world, including major buyers from Europe, UK, USA, Canada and Asia.

Wine Australia will be returning to ProWein in March 2024, with a large stand in the middle of the Australian area, generating excitement for the category and attracting a high calibre of visitors. 

The stand will feature winery booths, meeting space, and an educational and events area. On the stand guests can participate in regional tastings, master classes and informal networking sessions.

WA WINES TO THE WORLD is coordinating a regional booth and masterclass for Margaret River, plus a masterclass for Great Southern.

OBJECTIVE: Generate exposure for Margaret River and Great Southern wine regions amongst European and global trade audiences.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible you must either be a Margaret River or Great Southern producer. These opportunities are equally suited to new-to-market exporters looking to attract international buyers at ProWein, as well as established exporters.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Shared regional booth: Margaret River will have a shared regional booth at ProWein 2024. Producers confirmed to participate on the regional booth may have one representative stand at the booth (maximum), but this is not a prerequisite of participation as a regional representative will be available to pour wines. Registrations are currently still open for another 2 SKUs on the Margaret River regional booth.

Regional masterclasses: The masterclasses will be held on-stand within the main Wine Australia pavilion, accommodating up to 30 attendees. Registrations are now open for regional masterclasses, covering these themes:

Margaret River Chardonnay - criteria:

  • 100% Margaret River GI Chardonnay

  • Awarded Gold Medal at Margaret River Wine Show, 95+ points OR equivalent 3rd party endorsement

 Great Southern Iconic Wines - criteria:

  • 100% Great Southern GI fruit - all varieties

  • 95+ points OR equivalent 3rd party endorsement preferred

COST TO PARTICIPATE:

  • $1,350 (ex GST) per SKU poured on regional booth (maximum 4 SKUs per brand, total 14 SKUs).

  • $400 (ex GST) per SKU - masterclasses to feature 5 wines from each region (cost of wines and freight additional)*

* Masterclasses are open to all active exporters from Margaret River and Great Southern with wines that meet the eligibility criteria. Ideally, participants should have a presence at ProWein 2024, but this is not essential.
